The Last PCG Idol Card....

Ok, I admit it. I am nervous. I am actually kind of speechless. I know - that's not like me!!! The last challenge for the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol card was to create a card that focused on a silhouette. I am amazed at all the interesting cards in the gallery! They all rock. Seriously!

Here's my contribution!

I wanted to make sure in this final round that I was true to my "style," so I focused on kind of a classic card - something that doesn't seem out of line with what you'd normally see here at "my place!" I stamped my Bleeding Heart by Flourishes in black, added the "Forget Me Nots" (also in the set) in the background using Antique Linen Distress ink. I antiqued and distressed the edges of the ivory and red piece, added some sewing, a pretty grosgrain and velvet ribbon, a flower and a brad and.... DONE!

So, if you would like to check the gallery out and cast a vote--- HERE is the link! Voting ENDS Thursday at noon and the winner will be announced Friday by noon!!! Hope I make it that long!

Before I go, I have to give a shout out to one of my new found friends! Thanks to this contest, I've become a regular at my local scrapbooking store - Sisters- and now know one of the ladies that works there a bit better - So Lovely (that's her name) this one's for you! You totally rock! You are right - it's a good thing we don't work together - we would never get a thing done! Thanks for helping me out and making me laugh!

Take care!
Julie

I just voted for the next Idol! Your card blows the competition out of the water! Stunning Julie! And the thing I loved most about it was you did stick with your style and stayed away from something that you're not! That is the mark of a true champion! Best, Curt

Gorgeous job. I voted!! For you!! It was a no brainer. Not that the other cards didn't rock. They did. But I love this style. I really liked the soft images under the silhouette main image. Good luck!

Your card is beautiful Julie! I voted for you - I hope you win, you deserve it. That's fabulous that you stayed true to your classic style - that's what it's all about anyway, right? I also like that you actually stamped yours instead of using silhouette die cut stuff. Let us know how it goes!
