Let's take a trip to Venice....

Hi all and happy Monday! Flourishes is taking the lid off a new kit that is just so earthy yet elegant at the same time. This one is called Venice and you can see above all that comes in this kit. It features a 48 page pack of 6 by 6"decorative paper by 7 Gypsies in rustic, masculine designs, 16 of the 10mm copper colored mosaics, 1 pack of elegant vintage brads in two sizes (9 total),1 yard of grey braided trim, 1 yard of cream loopy trim, 1 yard of iridescent wire edge peach ribbon (1-1/2" wide), 3 yards of crushed silk teal ribbon (1-1/2" wide). Classy and regal at a great value!

On to my creation! This is an easy peasy one because basically I let the paper and that awesome silk crushed ribbon do the talking!
I used the A Guiding Light set coloring with just a few Copic Markers for a real light white washed look. I used these markers - E33, E53, Y21, E81, BG70, BG10, BG000 and then blended to let the colors bleed into each other. I also used the Spellbinders dies Petite Ovals LG for my main image, and then Labels Ten for my mat. After I embossed, I did sand the edges to show off the paper's white core (and add a little to the distressed feel!) I cut both thanks to my Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

I also added a sentiment tag thanks to just a 1-1/4" circle punch. I used one of the sets' sentiments and then sponged on a little Antique Paper Distress Ink. I also added a fun charm that I tied onto the crushed silk ribbon. The charm is one I found at Walmart a while back. I love when you just have something in your stash that's perfect for a card you are creating!
Now, some of the other Flourishes ladies have some Venice creations to show off, so be sure to stop on by and visit....

Have you thought about a 12 step program for your label addiction???
Don't have either of these and not getting them, no I'm not, nope, doesn't matter how elegant they look together, no siree. This is really pretty and you did that ribbon justice. Hope you have a great week!

Great card, I like the dies you have used with the stamp image you used. You have added several little touches that are of great interest like the way you turned down the corner of the paper and the added charm. Just marvelous!!

Oh I like that you used the message in the bottle. Nicely done, and the charm is darling.
