Say Hello to some beautiful Hyacinths!

Hi all and welcome to a Friday full of inspiration courtesy the Flourishes' design team. Today our team decided to focus on an oldie but goodie with their posts and that set is......

HELLO HYACINTHS!

With spring here, what a perfect set to use for your cards and creations! And, want to know another fun fact? Flourishes recently added a Silhouette Cut File to match this set that you can find HERE!

On to my creation!
I started by cutting the large hyacinth using my Silhouette, a piece of Flourishes Classic White Card Stock and the new Hello Hyacinth Cut File. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then grabbed my Copic Markers using these collections!

After coloring it up, the rest is just matting and I have to say, I am really low on purple papers, so I had to grab some scraps from my scrap bin to put this card together. I did accent with some cotton lace, some pearls and a bit of paper piercing.

Here's a close up of the flowers -- the centers were accented with a bit of Liquid Pearls....

And that, my friends, is it! Now it's time for some fabulous inspiration and all you need to do is hop and leave these ladies below some love in the form of a comment! I know they'd love to hear from you!
Thanks for stopping by! For those that celebrate, I hope you have a peaceful and blessed Easter! I will be back soon so, until then, Happy Stamping!

Thanks a Bunch!

Hey all! Right before CHA, I made some creations with Becky Fleck's new line for Penny Black and guess what? I can't believe this! I didn't post those cards on my own blog! So, no time like the present, right?

I love this time of year because not only do the flowers start to sprout outside but the ones that also sprout on my cards and creations! Instead of grabbing darker colors, I always reach for pinks and blues and, well, springtime colors! this card is no exception!

So, for my card, I used Becky's new set called Thanks a Bunch! And, what is so incredibly fun about this stamp set is the fact that the set comes with a handful of flowers and then a handful of pots and jars to put them in! See?

You can create dozens of different combinations! I stamped the pot on decorative paper and then cut it out and matted it on my stamped image and then masked and stamped the tulips over top and then colored them up with Copic Markers. I cut them out and popped them up with some foam tape and the rest is matting it up! I grabbed some different decorative papers from my scrap bin and a strip of white card stock, which I then stamped the sentiment on. Pair the front of the card with some circle dies, some scalloped circle dies, a little bow and a little bling and... ta da! Done!

Here's a close up of the flowers!

Hope your week is going well and that this bouquet of spring flowers was just what you needed to add a little sunshine in your day! Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow with more fun! See you then!

All About The Dies Challenge!

Hi all! Well, the Impression Obsession Design team took a few days to show off some of the fun creativity you can have when you pair a little paper with some of the brand new dies from Impression Obsession. Hope you had fun seeing all the possibilities! If you want to take a peek at all that is in the store, just head HERE!

If you have some of IO's dies, well, today is FOR YOU! The DT is ushering in a challenge that is ALL About The Dies! If you play along, there is a $25 gift certificate on the line! Don't have any dies? Well, stay tuned, coming up later in this post, I will tell you how you can win some!

On to my creation! Oh goodness -- do these dies have a TON of potential!
Do you see which ones I am talking about? They look like this...

And, can create things like this.....

After you cut out the flowers, you take the end that does not have the circle on it and you roll the flower inward, making sure that the color you want to be your main color is in the center. Take a glue dot, place it on the circle end and that is secured at the bottom of the flower and holds it all together! Easy peasy! I used the Spiral Daisy and the Spiral Flowers and then paired them up with the Leaf Cluster and the Branch Die. I actually cut apart the branch die cut to serve as my larger leaves. See?

I added a sentiment -- This Day -- in black ink on a sponged die cut frame and... almost finished! I know you would never know it but this was really a quick card. I had rolled some of the flowers as I watched TV one night. So, that part was already done. Add some patterned paper, some washi tape, a bit of stitching and.. ta da! Done!
And that, my friends is it!  Now, for some more creative inspiration, hop on over and see the rest of the IO DT!

So for the hop, all the designers had to do was pick up some of their favorite dies and.. CREATE! Stay tuned, later in my post I am going to tell you how to win some!

On to my creation!
Isn't this little Paper Cone adorable? It's a die! All you need to do is run it through your cutting machine and the lines are embossed letting you know exactly where to fold -- how fun! Pair it up with THIS stamp set and you have a quick and easy creation that's perfect for spring thank yous! There are even dies to match the Clear Spring Medley Stamp set HERE!

After I was done matting up my image and adding some bling and a bow, I did stamp the sentiment - Heartfelt Thanks -- and embellished with a tiny pearl! And for the bottom? I added a fancy border thanks to the Border Duo 1 Die Set.

Here's a close up of the cute flowers in the little Paper Cone!

And that, my friends is it!  Now, for some more creative inspiration, hop on over and see the rest of the IO DT!

All About the Dies... Day 1!

If you're a fan of Impression Obsession, you know IO has been up to some creative fun with so many new dies! If you want to take a peek at all that is in the store, just head HERE!

Today the design team is showing off a bit of what you can do with these new dies. For the next three days, in fact, you can get a ton of ideas with out All About The Dies Hop! You'll even have chances to win three dies of your choice... so stay tuned to find out how!

On to my creation!
I have no idea why but when I see a butterfly, I see orange! I guess to me, there are only monarch butterflies in the world! ;-) I knew though, when we had this hop, I had to make my first card with this beautiful die set called Fancy Butterfly. It's a two layer die -- one for the base and one for all that fabulous detail!   I also used THIS die called Circle Shaker Frame Die as my "frame" for my main image. I layered it up with a cut circle that I had embossed and then.... matted it all up with different scraps of decorative paper. The lacy bottom that you can see below is also a die called Border Duo 1 Die Set -- yes you get 2 dies for just $15! I love these border dies because you just run it through your machine and there is nothing to line up like you have to do on a punch -- so easy!

And, here's a close up of that pretty butterfly!!

And that, my friends is it!  Now, for some more creative inspiration, hop on over and see the rest of the IO DT!

Well, you’ll be happy to know that each and every one of Flourishes' new sets is now LIVE in the Flourishes store HERE! Tulips for Friends, Inside and Out Congrats AND... the newest set that the DT is giving you a peek of today called Forget-Me-Not Notes!

ForgetMeNotNotesGraphic

Beautiful Forget Me Nots are fashioned into pieces that can then be made into frames. The possibilities are endless with this beautifully floral set illustrated by Marcella Hawley! Made as a companion to Flourishes' Perfectly Pierced Classic Windows die, this set can be used to share gratitude on a card or better yet, in a gratitude journal. Perfect for creating thoughtful gifts for friends or loved ones. Set measures 4" by 6".And..... just like we mentioned, you can get all three new sets now — just click HERE to see them in the store!

On to my creation! When I first saw this set and the possibilities of a gratitude journal, I knew I wanted to create a journal for myself. Counting blessings is something we should all do, right?

I started by picking up this journal at a dollar spot at my local craft store to alter....
I picked some scraps of paper out of my scrap bin, added some stitching and, this is what I ended up with...

If you look closely, you can see that I took the small flower in this set and created a subtle pattern using turquoise ink....

From there, I stamped the Forget Me Nots onto Flourishes Classic White that I cut and embossed using Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Classic Windows Die. I colored it up with Copics and added some sponging around my image. I added some rhinestones, and matted it on a doily using some foam tape. Stamp the sentiment from the set in the bottom corner and... almost done!

Here's a peek at the first page of my journal. I love the subtle flowers with this beautiful sentiment!

Here's a close up of the outside of my journal. You can see I did add some glitter to the centers of my flowers for a little extra pop!

And... I added this little flower on a punched piece to a piece of blue seam binding ribbon to act as my place keeper for my journal.....

And that, my friends, is it!!! I can't wait to start using this little number. Would you like to try to win today’s set? Just leave some love in the form of a comment on all of our designers’ blogs and try to guess….

Sneak Peaks Day 2: Inside & Out Congrats!

Hi all! Flourishes is in the thick of things -- on day 2 of its Release Week Sneaks for March! (If you missed Day 1, feel free to click HERE!) Today,  the DT is showing off the end of a fabulously popular collection that is designed to give the inside and outside of your cards an endless supply of mix and match sentiments!

Introducing…..

Inside&OutCongratsGraphic
Give the inside and outside of your cards a bit of pizzazz with these mix and match sentiments that are perfect for those 'Atta Boy' cards of congratulations! These fun scripted and print words are designed to be used together or apart on the inside or outside of your creations! This set, by Becky Fleck, measures 4" by 3".

On to my creation!

When I first laid eyes on this set, I knew that I wanted to create a card that would be perfect for a teen or young person and I wanted to use the guitar from the Love Notes set!   In my head, I really wanted to get the circular feel of the guitar and have that be a focus on my card. So... I grabbed a My Mind's Eye paper pack, tore out a few coordinating sheets, grabbed  my Spellbinders Classic Circle LG dies, and Giant Scalloped Circles and went to town! I paper pierced the largest circle and then I bent the "congrats" so that it would be molded along that cut line. Add the "You Rock" sentiment on a flag from the new PageMaps die line called Charmed, I'm Sure... and... almost done! I stamped the guitar on Flourishes Classic White and then colored it up with just a few Copic markers. Add some little gold bling and... ta da! Done!

Here's a close up of the guitar. You can see I did add some shimmer thanks to a Stardust Gellyroll pen.

And... here's the sentiment!

And that, my friends, is it!  If you like what you see on the designers' blogs, you can pre-order this set HERE now! You could also find it HERE as a part of our New Release Bundle for March (you save 10% when you purchase as a bundle!) All three of our new sets will be unveiled on Friday. So.... stay tuned!

Sneaks Day 1: Tulips For Friends!

Hi all and welcome to day 1 of Flourishes' Release Week fun! Today, we have a bouquet that is ripe for the picking and these flowers have a bit of a spring flair! Are you ready for the first peek?

Introducing.....

TulipsForFriendsGraphic

A beautiful single tulip or a bouquet poised and ready to deliver to someone special - that's what you get with this gorgeous set -- Tulips for Friends --- illustrated by Marcella Hawley. Paired with six scripted sentiments, this set is perfect for all kinds of cards or creations for your friends!

On to my creation!
To start my card, I made it easy and picked up Flourishes' 123 Create Kit called Vintage Finds! I love, love, love the antique flavor this paper offers and the yellows are neutral enough and very classy. I thought this would be a fun backdrop for a bouquet of yellow tulips. I started by cutting out the tulip bouquet shape using the soon-to-be-released Tulips for Friends Cut File. I stamped the bouquet with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Flourishes Classic White, colored it with Copic Markers (see list of colors below!), then, the fun began -- add a little Perfectly Pierced Window (embossed and sanded). I added a tag with a little bow and wooden button. The sentiment is actually from the Zinnias stamp set. Add a ruffle trim and a sanded and embossed background and... ta da!

Here's a close up of the little tag.....

Here's a peek at my colored tulips!

And, I did stamp the inside of my card a wee bit....
And that, my friends, is it! Do you want to win this set?All you need to do is leave some love in the form of a comment on the blogs below! Why? You need to try to figure out who is the…
