Poor Pooch!

I know, when there's so much going on in the world, it's kind of silly to ask for prayers for a dog but honestly -- look at my little girl here...

Isn't this kind of sad? On Thursday afternoon, I was petting her and felt her ear and it was twice the size as it should be! Turns out, she developed an ear hematoma (blood clot and pooling) somehow and needed surgery. So, Friday she went under the knife and this is her today. Poor thing! I just wanted to let you all know I might be a little scarce here. Life happens!

I will be back for some sneak peeks on Wednesday with some beautiful new stamps from Flourishes so, be sure to check back! Until then, have a fabulous start to your week!

 Blessings,

  11. OMGosh that poor sweet little girl! I've never heard of an "ear hematoma". Do they know what caused it? Bless her little furry heart. I'm so glad you found it and that she is going to be OK. Hugs to all of you and my boys send hugs to her! Best, Curt

  12. Oh Julie. That is so sad. I hope she gets better soon and the 'cone of shame' doesn't bother her to much. Take care of that sweet fur baby. She looks a lot like my dog too. Is she part Border collie?

  13. Oh my, puppies are as important as people and certainly members of our families. Poochie has my prayers as well as my little Lucy's. I am afraid if Lucy had to have that done, I would have had to stay home from work to care for her.

  17. What a sorrowful face. I have done and will do all I can to make my pets well.
A quick story. My Mom's poodle (miniture and 1 of 2)slipped on the ice and broke her back. We rushed her to the University and she had surgery. My husband asked how much and Mom wouldn't tell and swore me to secrecy (aren't Moms grand?). Then he asked (silly man) if she would do and pay for him in an emergency. She said no!!! She's been gone a long time now...but that is a family story we keep repeating.

  22. Poor pup! Not silly at all, I would be praying for my little pooch if she were in such a position. Our kids grow up, then we replace them with 4 legged babies. At least that's what we did. I hope she is doing better soon!

  23. Julie,
It is never silly to ask for prayer for something we love so much! I am down to only 5 bulldogs but have had as many as 11! And I pray for them all the time, put their names on prayer lists, and thank the good Lord for blessing me with them every day! This beautiful baby is a part of your life and you hate to see her hurting. It's like when your children were sick and too small for you to explain to them what was wrong! All you can do is love them through it. I am glad that you showed us this side of you, makes us all love you a little more!! Will keep her in my prayers!

  24. I hope your whole family are back on their feet and happy again soon-having a four legged person in the house that is ill or not one hundred percent affects everyone- prayers to your pooch and all of you.

  32. Head gear of fashion makes those big eyes look through the lense with camera messaging, "I'm so glad I'm inside with all that white fluffy, blustery wind, and drifting outside."
So glad you have this snowday time to take care of your fifth household family member! Blessings as you pamper and comfort your fine furry friend. Keep Looking Up!
