Hello my happy stamping friends! If you hit up the Power Poppy Blog, then you know there's a 30 Day Coloring Challenge Fest going on with the Power Poppy crew! We decided to use this day to show you all how we decided to take the coloring challenge! While I have only played along with this challenge behind the scenes and not very well, I promised myself that I would give it a go at least a handful of times during the 30 days. You might say -- well you color several times a month, don't you? Yes. But it will be those times that I said, let's take a little coloring diversion today -- the times that I didn't intend to -- that I will count! ;-)
If you need a little help getting off the ground with this challenge, just click HERE to learn more about thedailymarker.com's 30 Day Coloring Challenge! It's a fun way to disconnect for a while and if you link up your creations, there are some super fun prizes on the line!
For my creation, I decided to extend my time to one hour and see what happened. I printed off Power Poppy's Springtime Love Roundel digital stamp (using the no-line version) and just started grabbing Copic markers left and right! And here's what my little image looked like throughout the hour!
As I was coloring, I was going for a super soft look that was light and airy and I *think* that is what I've got so far! The reason why I stopped was the fact that I was honestly stumped as to what color the rest of the flowers might be. I didn't want anything too bold. I didn't want to repeat a color but I wanted these last flowers to compliment what I already had. So... the dilemma! I'll figure it out!
Now, you might say, "You didn't finish!" That's right! And, that's the beauty of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge! You use what time you have. It might only be ten minutes a day. So, over the next day, I'll finish up this little springtime joy and maybe, just maybe, it will be made into a card someday. :-)
Before I move on, I wanted to share another little bunch of fun! Did you see this little promo Marcy is running to try to help kick off some colorful creativity? Check it out sweet peeps!

Wow! I'm amazed at how much you did in 45 minutes!!! This is just beautiful! I love the colors you chose and the no line effect gives such a soft dreamy and romantic look to your project. Good luck with picking the rest of your colors!
Your coloring is so beautiful ! Love how soft and blended it looks.
Julie, this is coming along beautifully!! I can't wait to see the finished art!!
Gorgeous! This looks like it will be an amazing piece.
So pretty, I can't wait to see the finished piece
Wow I can’t believe all the colors are so vibrant. I love Power Poppy
Beautiful so far. I get stumped with what colors to use for flowers too. I know your final project will be lovely - they always are.
It's so lovely and soft, I actually thought it was colored pencil! I hope that we will get to see the finished version. :)
awesome card - love the dimension you added:0
Very Pretty, thus far!! Yes it is good, there is no pressure to finish completely each day for the color challenge!
Julie this is looking GOOD! I actually have that gorgeous stamp and I am going to use it before the months end! Just beautiful!
So beautiful! I love the softer colors.
Beautiful coloring and I enjoyed watching your work in progress
Love this Digi & what you have already colored. I hope you post the finished project!
True, the beauty of this challenge is that we don't need to feel obliged to finish anything! :-) That's very encouraging to participate, as I surely wouldn't be able to find enough time to make a card every day... Your colouring looks beautiful, and it was great to see the progress you achieved each 15 mins. Can't wait to see the end result now :-)
I’ll be back to see the finished project.
Love seeing the process steps.
Oh, so pretty .
Julie, I love the look of the no line coloring! How do you do this with a digi image? Do you just print it in a lower grayscale?
Gorgeous design and coloring!
Love the time lapse photos - super helpful! Gorgeous
Such pretty coloring and love the time lapse sequence stages!
Coming along nicely! So pretty.Maybe a pale blue carnation and a pale orange tulip? Whatever you choose it will be lovely.
I really like how you started coloring this image. It does look very soft almost like you water colored it. I think I'm in love with Power Poppy images. Thank you for sharing!
This Julie is a real spring bouquet! I love the gorgeous colours you use and hope you find more Challenge time to finish this beauty! Thanks for showing.
So pretty - nice color choices
This is turning out so lovely! I am right there with you when choosing colors, but so far your choices are impeccable.
so beautiful colouring !
This is so soft & pretty. And I really like the "time stamp" aspect that you included! As to whether or not this piece grows up into a card, it still is quite pretty and I am sure it was relaxing for you. Thanks for sharing!
Hey all! This answer is for Holly Jackson, who asked if I printed the digi in grayscale. Nope. Marcella is starting to offer "no line" versions to her digital stamps taking all of the guesswork out of finding that perfect no line look. Hope you give one of her digis a try! :-)
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one to stop coloring because I can't decide what to use to compliment the others. Can't wait to see what you finally come up with. Please share. Your coloring is so spot on.
This is going to be beautiful! Im glad to see that I am not the only one that has to set aside a project from time to time to think about how I want it to turn out.
Adorable card and beautiful coloring!
Your image is looking so pretty! I love the soft colors you're using. It's fun to see your time lapse progress :)

This is such a beautiful digital image. I like the no-line effect, and your color choices are perfect.
Beautiful coloring. It would take me hours to get it finished.
Thanks so much for sharing...
Such a pretty set of flowers. I like how you are showing how much coloring you are doing in segments. I like being reminded that finishing is not part of the coloring challenge.
This is so pretty. Just love the colors you used!
How fun to watch this image take on life as you color the different elements! Just beautiful

I like how soft the colors on this piece and understand when your not sure what the next color should be! This has happen to me that I end up starting a second project or just let it sit for a few days and come back to complete!!
I'm glad it's not just me that this happens too! Thank you!

I am starting to like the no line colouring technique as it comes out soft and pretty.
So soft and gorgeous! Love your coloring and the time lapse photo!💜🤗
I'm kind of amazed you were able to color so much in 45 minutes. One of the many reasons you're a pro and I'm not, I suppose! I think you've definitely achieved a soft, almost watercolor-y look with this. Thank you so much for sharing! I particularly enjoy time lapses, so this was great to see.
Your coloring is beautiful! I love how you showed part of it done and the time you took to do it.
Your coloring so far is beautiful! Thanks for sharing :)
I really enjoy the soft look! Beautiful coloring.
Beautiful, Julie!! I am so glad you shared your coloring process with us and I’m very curious how you finish your bouquet as it is hard for me to figure out a color pallet also!!
So pretty. I like the colors you have used so far.
Love your time release coloring - what an inspiration! Thanks for sharing!!
The springtime love stamp is so happy! I’d have better looking coloring results if I stepped away and came back later. I feel like you just gave me a hall pass! :D
Love your the soft look of your coloring. To me, the hardest part is trying to figure out what colors to use for a bouquet of many types of flowers. I start off okay and then am stuck. .
On my gosh, I !ove that you didn't finish. I hate leaving something undone but the next time you come back you'll have newly inspired mojo! Please be sure to show the finished project!
What a fun post, Julie! Your image is beautiful! It's coming along nicely. I love how you showed your progression, too. This is going to be a show piece when it's completed.
Beautiful coloring. It always amazes me how time goes when coloring. It seems slow then seems fast and then all of a sudden you are done. LOL!! You know you have been distressing and into your coloring. Great idea to do a timelapse to show how much you can get done.
That's me, I always get stumped about what color to use next

Great reminder that we don’t have to finish I can stop in the middle and come back! :)
Lovely!! Thank you for showing how long it took you to colour.
You are much faster than I am LOL

Your no-line coloring is simply stunning! Each stop along the hop has been so inspirational and educational! Thank you for sharing your talents!
Wow, great job. I love the soft colors. I do exactly what you did when I don't know what color to use next, I stop, take a break go do some chores and then come back later and usually I can figure out the rest. Great job!
Such a pretty bunch of flowers!
I am a flower lover for sure. I think they make anything prettier like the outside of your house or a card. The problem is we have mutant squirrels in our yard. I keep trying to type that word that begins with the letter after M and refers to those squirrels but that key on my computer won't work and it won't spell check it with the right word but you know what I mean. They tend to eat and ruin any flowers I plant. They can't do that on a card and you have no idea how happy that makes me. I love Power Poppy and I have tons of stuff downloaded on my computer but my printer died and I don't know why. I would love to play with some of them but not until my printer is working again. I, however, love how you played with yours and especially that you used my favorite color in the whole wide world, yellow! Yellow is never used enough in my opinion! LOL Until I kept reading, I thought you used water colors, mot markers. I love your coloring!
Thanks for showing us your pretty and colorful card and for giving us the chance to win something!
Julie, your coloring is exquisite, and you've really mastered mo-line coloring! I love the color combination you've used, and it made such a gorgeous card (yes, I've been working backgrounds having been so behind). Hugs, sweet friend, and thanks! xoxo
