This darling image is one of the new releases from Leigh Hannan called Clover Tree! Isn't it sweet? My daughter exclaimed that she needed a tree like that -- one that grows luck and money. Honey -- don't we all???
I stamped the image in permanent black ink and then went about coloring it with Copic markers. The tree was done with Yellow Green, and Nile Green. The trunk was colored with Sepia and then the stars were shaded with two shades of yellow. The entire image was also shaded with Cool Grey #1 and Warm Grey #1. The pot was colored with watercolor pencils and blended with a blender pen. Add some lime green accents with a Tombow (I used the Tombow fine tip for those teeny leaves and berries). Then, I went over parts of my image - the coins, the "berries" and the centers of my lucky clover with my Copic Spica pens to give it some glimmer!
Want a closer peek? After that, do a little paper piercing, mat it up, add a fun tag with the Impression Obsession Mini Messages set, add some fun scraps of decorative paper and a matching ribbon and ..... VOILA! Done!
There is a good reason to check out the Impression Obsession Webstore this weekend! The company's owner, Mitra, is lowering the free shipping threshold from $100 to $30. I was over at the I/O blog and saw the special she was haveing in the DT honor, so I wanted to stop by and see what everyone was doing. Of course you know I follow you anyway. Your card is absolutely rich and lovely just like a wee bit 'o the Irish!.

So adorable Julie, I love Impression Obsession stamps! I've got a wee bit of green in me my grandmother, Myrtle Flemming, was Irish.
Hi Julie!! Love this card... We are back safe and sound and now must get into the mounds of laundry and back into my work room.

what a sweet card! your colouring/shading is perfect!
Julie, I have a good bit of Irish in me and that's one of the cutest cards I've ever seen. My family runs more to the going to church and having a quiet family meal than the raising a glass kind of St. Patrick's Day, so I particularly appreciate moving away from that now always pleasant image!
How cute is that! Sure'n begorah :) tfs!
Well done with the coloring! Gorgeous!
Love this card! Did you get that ribbon locally? You always have the BEST ribbon!
