Living in Montana, when the weather outside gets frightful, you just have to bundle up! Well, one of our family traditions is to literally bundle up, and burn off some holiday cookie calories outside building Christmas snowmen or even a few angels...
Excuse me while I show a few pics of my peanut in action.... ;-)
And... there she goes... cranking out the angels!
So, with winter fun my inspiration, I used one of Alesa Baker's stamps called Mittens!
I don't know about you but there are times when I just love to paper piece and this mitten seemed like the perfect fit! I wish I knew the paper I used, I literally started grabbing scraps from my decorative paper bin until I got what I thought was a good mix! Then, I stamped multiple times to make sure I had a color for my mitten, the cuff and the string. After I matted, layered and added some stitching, I added a button and punched snowflake. And... voila! Winter fun captured on paper! :-)
You'll have to hop around and see what the other IO gals do for their holiday family traditions!
