Sneak Peak Day 2: Fresh Baked!

I have a special "treat" for you today! How many times have you baked up some goodness in the kitchen and wanted to create a special tag or card showing the recipient that these little goodies were handmade with love from your kitchen? Well, Flourishes now has you covered!

Introducing....

Cook up some fun by adding hand stamped tags, cards or boxes to your home baked goods. This darling set, called Fresh Baked, illustrated by Marcella Hawley features darling vignettes honoring those items baked lovingly in your kitchen. Features three main images plus two accent stamps and five coordinating sentiments. Set measures 4" by 6".

On to my creation! I should point out that this week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge is to make something yummy the focal point of your card or creation! You can read all about it by clicking HERE. If you play along, you'll be in the running to win Flourishes ENTIRE October release! All five sets!

Moving on to what I whipped up! I decided to make a card that could also hold a recipe. So here goes!

For my creation, I started with my Silhouette Cameo and cut out the pie image from the Fresh Baked set. I stamped using Memento Rich Cocoa and then, colored up with my Copic markers (look below for the colors that I used! I added some glitter thanks to my Stickles and then matted it all up with the help of the Classic Ovals Large die and Beaded Ovals die from Spellbinders. (I also sanded my ovals after I embossed them to reveal the paper's white core). Add a ribbon, a button threaded with twine and add a fun little tag and... almost done! I did round the upper corners and added some stitching. For the base of my card I also used the paper from the Emerald Coast Color Made Easy system. Although I didn't use the ribbons or any other shades of paper - I do love that the paper matches the Memento Teal Zeal ink and Emerald Coast Copic collection perfectly!

Here's a close up so you can see the razzle dazzle I added thanks to the glitter!
And, when you open up my card, I just tacked down a strip of paper using glue dots to hold my recipe card in place. I didn't want to make a pocket and wanted to make sure the recipient could easily remove the card too! The recipe card is a download from Flourishes called Fresh Recipes! Download and use as many times as you like... all for $1!!! Can't beat it!

And, if you want my recipe for Pecan Pie... here goes! A special "treat" for you too! ;-) Hope you can read my chicken scratch! LOL!

MMMM! PIE!! Cute card, too. You colors got me thinking vintage diner and some hot greasy fries before I have my pie. Of course, I'd need my Dad and my Grandma there and that's not happening in this lifetime. But you sure made me feel nostalgic tonight. Thanks!
