Power Poppy Digi Release: Day 2!

Hi all! Hope you loved yesterdays Power Poppy creations as much as I did! It's day two of the Power Poppy All Digi Release and today offers a floral that is personally one of my favorites! Take a peek at this new digi set!

Ahh..... isn't this one gorgeous image? And, I love that sentiment -- so beautifully done! The fun thing about this release is the fact that if you purchase this image - you don't need to wait - it's a digi, which means buy, download, create! You can visit the Power Poppy shop HERE to see this new image & sentiment combo. And, while you're there, if you love digis, Power Poppy has a handful you can use to create with --- right now! Just click onto the Digital Stamps page HERE!
On to my creation! Just like yesterday, I wanted to challenge myself a bit to be inspired by something when creating. For this "self challenge," I didn't have to travel any farther than my own back yard! This is one of the geraniums sitting on a pot on my patio!

I wanted to be inspired by the color! So, after printing my digi image onto Cougar Opaque White Card Stock,  I dug through my Copic markers and picked up a range of hot pinks! RV00, RV21, RV23, and RV25. The leaves were done with G20, G40, G43 and G46. Since I knew that getting that marbled effect on the petals would be really impossible (I'm not that good!) -- I chose to instead accent the petals with some dots from a Molotow white paint pen.

After I colored it all up, I did take E50, E51 and E53 and add some rustic and antique looking shading around my flowers and leaves. I printed the sentiment and then using a 1-3/4" punch, punched it out for my card front. Add a punched border, some paper piercing and mat it all up! The decorative papers are pretty much all Stampin' Up!

Be sure to see what kind of geranium goodness the rest of the Bloom Brigade created!

Wow! Does this pop with fabulousness or what? Stunning coloring, beautifully laid out. Love the punched designer paper border. Can't help but notice how the DP pattern matches up with the punch scallops. No detail too small. Amazing card, Julie!
