Swing Into Spring! Day 1

Gosh, time flies when you are having fun! I can't believe we are ready to release a handful of new and beautiful stamp sets again courtesy of Flourishes!

As we kick off a few days of sneak peeks, we start with another amazing set from the talented Marcella Hawley!

Introducing......
I know this is just a teaser -- but honestly, I can't wait until you can see this whole set! These flowers are gorgeous and the sentiments that go with this set are just perfect add ons for all kinds of cards!

So, here is what I whipped up...

I used my Curved Rectangles Nestabilities, cut a piece and then stamped my violets on top. After I stamped, I used the die to mask the outer edges and sponged on some Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Inks. Afterward, I used Copic Markers to color it up. I used RV19, V06,V09, and V15 on the flower and FYG2,YG06 and G07 with a touch of E33 on the leaves.

You can also see that I stamped, colored and cut out a number of the leaves to pop it up a bit! Mat it up on some green paper edged with a gold leaf pen, mat again on some violet decorative paper and then add a ribbon slide tag punched from a Spellbinder's die. The sentiment and accent are also part of the set! Weave in some ribbon and.... done!

I can't wait to hop and see what the other DT members created with this sweet set!

Sweet! Violets are so lovely and delicate and springy. You did a fab job coloring them and I especially like the distress inks around them. I am so glad I have the mega curved rectangle nesties. I needed to make some cards for my Mom to send and I used them on almost every one! Sometimes you're a very good Bad Influence!
