Because every mom loves roses, I thought this card would be perfect for my mom. She peeks here, so unfortunately-- the surprise is blown! :-)
I stamped the rose (Alesa Baker's Butterfly & Rose) on watercolor paper. The stamp actually features a rose and a butterfly - but I just wanted the flower for this card. After I stamped and heat set, I painted with a waterbrush and reinkers. I used Ranger Distress inks in Worn Lipstick and Peeled paint. After that, mat this beauty up with some patterned paper, a Spellbinders Labels 8 nestie, some crocheted lace, velvet ribbon and pearls! Voila! A flower perfect for mom!
This is an open challenge! All you need are a few IO stamps and you can make a card and have a chance at winning a $25 gift certificate to the IO store! Click HERE for all the deets!
