The Gifted Challenge....

This month, the IO gals decided to make a challenge around a gift set! So... we have the gifted challenge! HA!

I have always loved to give cards as gift sets. I bundle them together with a pretty bow or put them in a handmade box. Well, this time, I did it a bit differently.

Let's start with the cards first. I used this set from Impresion Obession to make all of my cards! It's called Jolly Holiday and is really versatile in my humble opinion for those cute fun holiday cards!

So.... here's a look at the three cards I came up with! This first one is super duper easy. Cut a piece of decorative paper to measure 3 by 4. Mat it on a coordinating piece of cardstock, add some rhinestones, and tie on a sheer piece of polka dot red ribbon. Stamp the message with green ink Vivid and then ink up the tree using the same ink and a yellow Tombow marker for the star. Stamp this on a 1-1/4" circle cut from a punch. Mat this on a scalloped circle and mat this on your main card with some foam tape... done!
I have to say, this next card is a CASE from Debbie Olson. Click HERE to see her version! I loved the card she created and wanted to try to imitate it with these stamps. Who knew red snowflakes could be so fun! This card is pretty self explanatory. The snowflakes on the tan piece were created from Staz-on White ink and Versamark. I used the scalloped edge punch from SU for the border and a Marvy scalloped rectangle punch for my tag. Add some bling-- and you're done! The last card is also pretty easy peasy lemon squeezy! Stamp the snowflakes on your red base card with White Staz-On ink. The Santa was inked up with grey Momento ink on the bottom and red Vivid ink on the top. Add some Stickles and draw in Mr. Santa's eyes with a permaletter pen. The buckle was created from a Quick Kutz die and the tag was a part of a Cuttlebug small tag set. For the tag, I just inked up the word "jolly" from the sentiment. I added some silver adhesive backed nailheads that I got at Hobby Lobby. I also edged the black mat with a silver leafing pen.
Once I was all done, I wanted to create a "container" for them that was a bit different but yet easy too. So... I started with a 6 by 9 clear envelope.
I took some decorative paper (Hobby Lobby) ande cut it 6 by 6. Add a gold edged strip and then stamp some fun elements for the front. THIS set is perfect for the holidays because it allows you to make gift tags and the saying is awesome for gift baskets!
Stick your cards and some fun green and red evelopes inside and you have a fun little set to help deliver some holiday fun!

Want to see what a few of the other IO ladies did for their challenge to make a gift set? Here you go! Dina, Kelli, Deborah, Daniela, Laura

I'll be back tomorrow with another Stamp Simply challenge that is sure to put a song in your heart!! ;-) Until then....

p.s. While we are on the topic of challenges-- have you checked out this month's You Know You Rock challenge? We only have a few days left!!!

I love it! You are so creative. I need to get this little set.
Alex loves to hang out the window. He loved looking at all the cars and trucks at the rest stops. He is so strong that he can stand alone, but he tries to climb out so I have to hold him.
