Stamp Simply--- Sharon Style!

Watch out! This week the renegade Becky has hijacked Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply challenge! She didn't think it was fair to focus on the Stamp Simply team without focusing on our fearless leader! I agree! So, this week - the goal is to stamp like Sharon! There are a few things that stand out when you look at Sharon's creations - First, her elegant style. She is one to create "crisp" designs. She uses stamps that reflect elegance in nature, and she uses ribbon and lots of it. She also loves designer paper but she generally only uses one pattern. You can click HERE to find out all the details on ssnotime56.

Well, I got the paper in and I might add - Sharon loves those swirly elegant designs so this damask glitter paper had Sharon written all over it. I got crisp. I hope I got elegant! A wreath is kind of nature isn't it? The only thing I am missing with my card is a ribbon -- so I faked it and added a stamped ribbon! My card uses one of the new sets just released fromFlourishes called Poinsettia and Boxwood. This set has two sizes of Poinsettia and also two sizes of wreaths that you can dress up! I chose to ink up the ribbon. I stamped it and then I masked the ribbon so that when I stamped my wreath it looked like the wreath was hung by the ribbon strung through. I stamped the bow a second time and cut it out to give it some "pop" on my card. Add a saying from the Holiday Greetings set and some 1mm rhinestones and you're almost done! The rest is just matting image. Did you see that lucious paper? It's some of the new Christmas Glitter paper that Flourishes is now carrying! It has glittered shades of red, green and a beautiful bronze looking brown.

Here's a closeup to show the bling and the bow on my card! You can even see how much that paper sparkles in the background!

I LOVE the sentiment inside and the popped up bow! I didn't think of hanging the wreath from the ribbon--great idea! This paper is so rich and gorgeous, too. I think I'm hoarding. This is my favorite piece! Great card, Julie!
