I tried to get a shot of my full decorated house but ... well.. it was dark! So, here's a peek at some of what is on the front lawn! The headstone reads.. Here lies Frankenstein. I think it's hysterical but my 7 year old daughter doesn't call them head stones, she thinks (honestly) that they are called dead stones. HA. I should correct her, but I haven't yet. ;-)
Here's another little scene we have....
Because I was feeling in a spooky mood, I decided to carry that over to my craft room and make something a witchy woman would love! I used the Witching you a Happy Halloween set from Flourishes and went to town....
And that, my friends, is it! I just love this time of year. The kids are all excited about trick or treating. Cal is going to hang out with friends (he thinks he's too cool to trick or treat in 8th grade) and Ellie is going to be a hippie. Fun stuff! Now, if only I can stop eating the Halloween candy before the big day! ;-)
After stamping my hat and masking it, I stamped the broom behind it and then, I picked up my Copic markers. I used the Cool Neutrals, Spring Greens and Tiger Lily collections grouped by Flourishes. Then, I used the Labels 16 from Spellbinders, cut out my shape and using a sponge, I sponged Vivid Lavendar and Violet Mist all over the background. You can see, I left the die on to keep that little white edge while I sponged. Add some purple decorative paper, two orange blocks for color, some black twine, glitter glue and a fun halloween inspired gingham and... ta da!! Oh yeah, I also added some decorative stitching too and a pinked edge border on my center purple strip. Easy peasy!
Here's a close up!

Wow, looks like you and your kiddos are having a lot of fun. It looks great :) Your card is awesome as well. Very Witchy of you Julie. Love it. Have a good day.
Your decorations look so fun!! Love your witchy woman card, too. Great stuff--thanks for getting me in the mood for Halloween :)
I love your Halloween spirit!!
I just finished making some treat bags for my nieces and my kids.
Even though they are too old to trick or treat, the treats are still welcome.
Hope all is well with!! Miss you tons :)
Love the Halloween deco's and I'm privledged to see them IRL. Cute card and I'll probably steal your idea and pass it on to the little goblins in my life. Mom
Wonderfully witchy card and nice job on the masking. I need to work on learning that one of these days. Awesome yard decor! Hope you have a frightfully fun holiday and I bet if you skip your coffee that day, you would be the witchiest witch in Montana - tee hee.
Awesome decorations Julie, so cool. I also bought this Halloween set from Flourishes but haven't done much with it yet. Probably not until next year! It will probably take me that long to find my way through my stampingroom, it is a disaster area. My DH asked me if we had a hurricane. I said no, just this room.
Julie, thanks for sharing some pix of your decorations! And your card is so nice, too: love that layout.
I love that you love Halloween. You need to update us with "Day" pictures next. Great card too! Hope you are all OK! Best, Curt
Wonderful decorations! Love your Halloween card...the stitching looks like a corset.
Funny your daaughter calls them that. Very cute! My son thought the factory that put out smoke clouds, was a cloud factory. It was the cutest. I couldn't tell him it wasn't either. They grow too fast. :)
