Spring Daffodils!

Hi all and happy Monday! I hope you had a blessed Easter and had some treasured time with family! I thought I'd kick the week off here with something springy! Since the temperature is starting to warm up, why not show off some of springtime on my cards too?

I decided to pick up some of Becky Fleck's new stamps she created for Penny Black! On to my creation...

I just love this set called A Bunch! I used it for a creation last week and I have to say I love the "mix and match"ability of this set.  You need to click and see this set in its full glory -- there's tulips, daffodils, crocus, iris, and even pansies. Then... you can put these in a mason jar, a vase, or terra cotta pots. So many options! So, I started by stamping it on white card stock and then, I had fun grabbing my Copic markers and going to down. I used Y00, Y02, Y06, Y38, Y35, G40, G43, G46, E11, E15, and E17. Around the outside, I did add some shading thanks to YR0000 and then I blended it with a colorless blender.

Here's a closeup!

I stamped the sentiment on a strip, added some borders, stitching and a  cut and embossed scalloped oval that I sanded to reveal the decorative paper's white core. Add a button and some embroidery thread and... ta da! Done!

A short and sweet creation to kick off some creativity for you this week, I hope! It's one of those clean and simple creations.

Well, this week promises to be one of creative fun! On Thursday - Impression Obsession has a new challenge to usher in and then on Friday, Flourishes will be sharing it's Release Week Challenge for April's new release! Lots of fun!
