Hello peeps! If you missed the big start of Power Poppy's brand new spring release, then you might just want to backtrack a bit and see what the Bloom Brigade put into motion yesterday with the sneaks of two new clear stamp sets by clicking HERE!
Those sneaky peeks, along with today's offerings, are a part of this amazingly inspired collection!
What sets do we have to show off today?
First up... Wild Mushrooms! Whether in the wilderness or in your mulch pile, the world is filled with fascinating fungi — and foraging for mushrooms can be a thrilling treasure hunt! In the spirit of vintage mushroom identification charts, Marcy has illustrated eight little groupings of wild mushrooms in this new set Wild Mushrooms, often with the leaf-and-ferny bits you'll find them surrounded by when foraging. Have fun with this set — the cards you make can be as unique as the many millions of varieties of mushrooms!
On to my creation!
I have to admit, I colored up this image weeks ago using Power Poppy's digital stamp set but the good news is, this image is sized exactly like the clear version and gives you an extended canvas to make sure these blooms are just as lush and large! I would share the color scheme I used but honestly, I took Amy Shulke's class that she put together for this image at Vanilla Arts HERE. The class was one designed to showcase coloring shades of pink. I don't know about you, but I have a hard time. The pinks are either too bumblegum or too dull. Not anymore folks! Amy's class is the BOMB!
I digress. After coloring up my image, I used a few different dies to mat it up and then, since I wanted a smaller sentiment, I actually used one from the Poppy XL set that we sneaky peeked yesterday!
And here, my friends, is a closeup for you!
To mat up this card, I used a mix of My Mind's Eye and Momenta paper designs picked to match the vibrant colors in my bouquet. And that, my friends, is it! The fun doesn't stop here though...
With two new sets to preview, there's lots of eye candy to see over on each of these Bloomies' blogs! So, go ahead, see what fun things they cooked up... just for YOU!
Be sure to swing back by tomorrow for Day 3! This sneak features two more sets, one that is the epitome of spring captured in a heart, the other is all abuzz with a vintage-inspired botanical flair! Both are stunning and I know when you see them, you'll have to have these beauties for yourself! See you back here tomorrow!
