Painting With Pearl Ex

Hi All!
This weekend has been full of decking the halls. So, let's just say, I've had other creative outlets! :-)

This card is one that I created to look like Christmas berries, but it is a technique that, if other colors would have been chosen, could have been "painted" to look like fall leaves, buds on spring trees... you get my drift!

Basically, what I did was stamp my berries and leaves (Stampendous) in Versamark ink and then, using a soft, fine tip brush, I "painted" the powder on the leaves using Spring Green and Interference Green Pearl Ex. I dabbed Russet on the berries and some Antique Bronze on the actual twig parts of the image. I love using this technique because you can layer the colors and really get a ton of metallic depth in the image. After you are done brushing on the color, you just use a cotton square or even one of those dry Swiffer cloths to burnish the color and get rid of the extra powder.

Well, decorating beckons! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend!
