A Ten Minute Tree!

With Christmas fast approaching, I often turn to those stamps that can just "sing" on their own with out a lot of extras. When you have to send/make dozens of Christmas cards, you either have to start in January or turn to those classic images that can be mass produced without looking like it!!!

That's why, when I saw this new set from Flourishes, Forest of Trees, I knew it had a quick, yet elegant Christmas card written all over it!!!!

I stamped the tree with Bamboo Spout Momento ink, sponged on a little Antique Linen Distress ink, used my ticket corner punch and slot punch on the ivory piece, added some self adhesive gold nail heads, add ribbon, a making memories tag and som Foo Fa La paper and you're done! This truly was - from idea in my head to paper, a ten minute card! Gotta love it!

Well, I wanted to thank you for all the well wishes for my anniversary. I had a fabulous time! My hubby said - 'Wow, I am tired,' when we were relaxing by the pool and I said - No hon, you are doing something called "relax!" It's so true. We don't afford ourselves the luxory!!! So, it was nice to know what being relaxed felt like!!! LOL!

Here's a few photos from our trip!
This is a little lake near the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. When I saw it, I had to stop. We just sat and watched dragonflies flit across the water...
This is the artist paint pots - geothermal features - in YNP.
And this is overlooking the upper falls into the Grand Canyon Of The Yellowstone. It's kind of freaky looking down and all you see is rushing water! Gotta love that rainbow!
And lastly... Ken in the goofy hat he just "had to " have! I cracked up!! I took this one just before the camera battery died!!! Yep, only I wouldn't make sure the battery was charged!
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with something new!!

Glad you had a great time on your get away. That area is awesome and Ken looks great in his farmer cowboy hat. Lovely card and looks easy enough to mass produce. Mom

Julie - this is one of those great cards that you can whip up in no time, but people will think you spent a long time making! Love the Yellowstone photos - we've been there many times and I think it is a place every American should visit!
