"Earth month" may be a month away, but I hatched an idea that I'd love to get you all ready! You hardly see those brown paper bags much anymore. Seems like plastic or "reusable" rule. But, every now and then, you can stumble upon some fun. And, here's why!
Twice a year or so, OfficeMax puts out this - fit everything you can in this bag and we'll give you 15% off - sale. Well, for the past couple years, the bag has always had fun elements. I love the swirly leaves and butterfly on this one! So, I immediately thought -- I've got to make a card out of this!
Believe me, it's not a new idea - you can check out THIS post to see last year's version!
Moving on! Gosh, this card couldn't be any easier! Cut out part of the bag, edge it with a gold leaf pen, add some gold self stick pearls, add some sheer ribbon and a fun butterfly sentiment and..... DONE!
Since the pattern repeats on the other side of the bag, I cut out the butterfly from the opposite side and then attached it for a 3-D effect with some mini glue dots!
Easy peasy! Hope you all enjoyed my "green" card! LOL!
See you back here again soon!

I must say, I am impressed. Card makers will recycle the simplest things. I was so inpired I put you as my post for today on my blog. Thanks for sharing. I have to get one of these bags!
Okay, now that is just too cool! I absolutely love it.

Ok, you are WAY too clever and you made the most BEAUTIFUL card!! WOW!!!
Well aren't you clever! Creativity to the max.....that's awesome! Thanks for sharing and challenging us.
What?! You are such a slacker! You do that great magnolia card last week and now it's just the easy-peasy stuff. You came into March like a lamb. But I LOVE this card! Your "vision" is amazing! I remember seeing your stuff in Rubber Stamper, too. Once a genius, always a genius.
Very creative!!! Super brilliant idea!
This is so much fun and a great card, Julie. I love this idea!
Julie. How wonderful to read this entry! That bag has been saved for a great idea to surface. I'll bravely die cut a Sizzix butterfly in black cs, thanks! Now, that gold edging is classy! I'll credit your creativity for this distinctive design!!
Happy Monday, Julie.
Brilliant but then again I'm sure it's in the gene pool you swim in.Mom
Cute card...I am looking at the same bag you used right here next to my desk! It would make a cute card!
Woo Hoo! I thought of you as soon as I saw that in the paper, and I kept it to make a card with ! LOL...
Great job!
This is tooo darn cool! Leave it to Creative You to come up with something so pretty :)
What a cool idea!!! Beautiful card!
This is fabulous Julie! I love the idea!
I am SOOOOOOOO casing your card! You are brilliant!
Julie this is so great. Before I read the post I was wondering how on earth did she have the same stamp as the image on the bag. So silly.
My order of craft cardstock just came in and I am very inspired
Oh my...I saved this bag to put our recycling in. Gotta go get it and make a card. I am so amazed at your creativity and what you did with "the bag". I will now never look at things the same!
Just fabulous Julie, I love it!
You are just too smart chickie!!
It looks fabulous!
Very cool and green! I love it!
This is so ironic. When I saw our Office Depot bag, the first thing I thought of was that it reminded me of a number of stamp sets with swirls/leaves. However it never crossed my mind to actually make a card with the bag. That's some great inspiration.
WOW! Now I wish we still had out newspaper subscription. :(
Your card is really great!
What a great green card-pretty too. tfs
You are definitely a 'Go Green' winner. Utilizing the nicest part of that paper bag is ingenious. And the card turned out really nice, too. It's a great idea to have my club members use recyclable items on their cards. Thanks for sharing your idea. MarilynY
Oh WOW Julie! I never would have guessed where you got the designer paper from! This is the neatest "new" idea I've seen in ages!
Cathy
WOW ... that is so cool Julie ... I'll have to make a stop at Office Max!!
