For my creation, I just made a card that I could send as a thank you. I just love the sentiment I used. IO has the BEST sentiments! You can find the one I used HERE.
This card was easy peasy to make. I grabbed gold detail embossing powder and embossed the Victorian Rose all over a speckled piece of ivory paper. Afterward, I colored the rose and leaves with a light wash from my watercolor pencils. Then, I took some Tattered Rose distress ink (Adirondack) and sponged it all over my image (even the colored pieces). I edged with a goldleaf pen, embossed my sentiment, matted it up, added some gold self stick pearls. You can see too that I added some gold thread just by wrapping it around my rose piece before attaching it to my ivory card base. Like I said -- easy peasy! This card is actually something I would have done years ago. I hardly ever heat emboss anymore! And, that is what got me started in stamping! I was fascinated with heat embossing! Funny--huh?
Well my friends, that's it! If you'd like to participate in the challenge... it's open to all! Just click HERE for a peek at the rules and what you might get a chance to have your art featured on the IO blog! :-)
You'll also have to hop on over to the rest of the DT to see what kind of gratitude they exuded with this challenge!

This is gorgeous! Love the ideas you put to work on this card. Just like you, embossing was what first amazed me so much about stamping. I embossed everything!
Wow, another gorgeous creation, Julie1 I love that flower. It's one of my favorites and your colors are wonderful too!
Beautiful card, Julie. You did a great job on your background paper.
When I first started stamping, as soon as I turned on my heat gun, Tim would come in to watch the EP melt - he was fascinated by it! Like you, I hadn't used mine for a while and I just pulled it out last week, too! And my gold leaf pen! Funny how it all cycles around. Enjoy your day!
Way back last century, when I started this nutty obsession with impression, I heat embossed over the elctric stove burner in my Mom's kitchen. While I don't often heat emboss these days, it is still a very classy look and I really like this card. Truly lovely and that sentiment is wonderful with it's gold thread beneath and pearls beside. And sponging on the tattered rose ink was the perfect touch. Happy October!
Hi sweetie!! Beautiful card!! Hope all is well with you!!
Julie, this is beautiful, I love the embossing!
