A very special Timeless Tuesday Challenge Hostess!

Well, this week for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, the gals have a hostess with the mostess! My mom, a.k.a. the Rubbermaid is leading the challenge this week. So, there's no question --I had to play!

So, what is the challenge? Here's what my mom had to say....

"For this week's challenge be inspired by the letter P. Sounds a bit crazy, but not really if you think about it for a bit. I'm thinking pink, pearls, poppies, purple, punches, and piercing. Do you get the picture? Sure you do so let's get moving and make those perfectly pretty and positively pleasing presentations. Don't think you've been challenged in this way before, so I will be excited to see how you all do." ~Pat

So, for my take on this challenge, I chose two "Ps" -- paper piercing and polka dots! Wanna see?

I started by stamping my cherries from the Cherries and Peaches set a few times on Flourishes Classic Ivory paper. I used Copic markers in the Poppy and Fields collections to color up my cherries (I used E25 for the stems). You might also see that I stamped the cherries on the decorative paper and also the ivory strip so that I could cut and piece overtop. I know it sounds confusing - but it was really just coloring and cutting. ;-) The rest is layering. I picked some polka dots from my decorative paper drawer. They were scraps so, I honestly don't know who made them -- sorry! Add a sentiment from the set, some paper piercing and a scalloped edge and voila.... done!

Be sure to hop on over and say hi to my mom HERE and check out her card. And, while you're hopping, check out the Friends of Flourishes' cards as well! You'll find all the official challenge details HERE!
