A Simple Lil Sketch....

Over the weekend, I forced myself to make time for play time! I have been swamped at work and my DM (darling mother) is coming for a ten day visit starting Tuesday. WOO-HOO! If you don't know her, she's the Rubber Maid! Funny story about her blog site. We named it that because well, stamps are rubber. Little did we know that so many people would come to her site looking for something else! LOL! We can laugh about it now. For awhile, she was a bit freaked!

Anywho, I digress!

While making time to play, I came up with this super dooper easy card layout that I thought I would share. A perfect sketch to kick off the week!

Here's my card!

The image is, I believe, Penny Black. One of my BF's on the web, Janine, gave it to me in an image swap. All I did was run it through my Wizard with my scalloped rectangle Nestabilities die and color the flowers with watercolor pencils! The saying is Impression Obsession and should be released here any time! These little stamps rock! There are about a dozen of them on in the clear set and they are all small enough for little tags. There are times when you want a sentiment that doesn't overpower a card. That's when I look to these! So, stay tuned. I'll be sure to fill you in when they go "public!" :-) Back to the card - the paper is My Minds Eye. Love that bold color! And, the ribbon is just one of those little ribbon bobbins that you can buy at Mikes or Hobby Lobby. I used a loopy brad to string the ribbon through and accented it with a dew drop.

So, wanna take a stab at this challenge? If you do, leave a comment with the link. I would love to see what you cook up!

p.s. Don't forget to check out yesterday's post about the DT call! Fun opportunity!!
