a friend like you....

Hi all! Hope you have had a fabulous weekend! It's been lazy here again! Gosh, I see a trend - don't you?

Thought I'd share some of the fun I cooked up for Impression Obsession's booth at CHA. I love this new set from Sarah Phelps. It will be on sale soon I'm told! This card was super duper easy! I just really played off the dp for my punch (Basic Grey Eva).

I stamped the saying in black and added my swirl with Angel Pink Memento ink. The butterflies were stamped twice (once for the antenae and the second time so that I could pop it up.)

Mat it up, add some shimmery cording and some bling and you are pretty much done!

I wanted to show you a close up of the wing-- I added some Pixie Dust Shimmerz to give the wing just a little bit of pizazz! It's really sparkly in real life! That's it my friends! A simple card that is a perfect little pick me up for a friend! I'll see you all back here soon!

p.s. Anyone watching the Superbowl??? We have a fierce fight in our family. DH is cheering for the Cardinals. DS is talking smack about the Steelers. Should be entertaining in the Koerber house to say the very least!!! Good thing I am on the fence! :-)

Julie, what a lovely card. Thanks for the close-up - it really shows the butterfly DP and the shimmerz. It's beautiful. I loved reading the exciting news for Flourishes. Yay! I hate to say this but I wasn't for any particular team, nor do I know yet who one. (I'm ducking now as things come flying through cyberspace air.) Sorry, I'm sure some people are very happy, so I'm thrilled for them, whoever they be. :)

Very pretty card. Neat butterflies!

We were a mixed group here but more Cards fans seeing as we are in Missouri. The Cards used to be in St. Louis; I like Kurt Warner and he played in St. Louis. Kind of beat ourselves with all the penalties!

this is not why i'm leaving a comment on this post, okay?
i honestly and truly love this butterly- very detailed. would love to do this myself.

say.... would you email me sometimes when you have time? please? i lost your email add... you don't believe me? it's a long story. but anyhow, i have something to tell you.

i don't superbowl 'cuz... i do not understand sports but i couldn't skip it last night (stupid friends) but i last night i couldn't help but cheered for Fitzgerald when he was running with the ball and the other team that were chasing him were so far behind. i screamed and yelled RUN! RUN! i was so proud of myself and i nearly forgot that i'm a sport retard. that was gold:)
